BlacKkKlansman, Spike Lee; Green Book, Peter Farrelly; If Beale Street Could Talk, Barry Jenkins; and Black Panther, Ryan Coogler are all excellent, if drastically different from one another, films. A student might write an essay about why it has taken Hollywood this long to deal extensively, deeply and honestly with race.
