What about some of the other pieces you read–what stood out to you? Were there concepts that you were able to connect to your own experiences?

Nelson, thanks for your post; welcome!  Kevin, your facilitator for the course. We are glad to have you on board. That’s terrific that you are transitioning to more college-level instruction and that you have research plans as well. Your students will be lucky to have you–you have some terrific experience.

One of the things the question prompt asked you all to do, for your initial post, was to refer to the readings on adult learners you did for this DB. You did a good job of discussing one of them. But there were several articles to read, and the prompt does mention referencing -articles- , and meanwhile the grading rubric also mentions connecting your experiences and goals to the concepts discussed in several of the articles. So what about some of the other pieces you read–what stood out to you? Were there concepts that you were able to connect to your own experiences?
