Performers have voices with different ranges and their neutral voice will be on a different note depending on their bodies. However, they can also use pitch to communicate ideas, or characters, raising their pitch to higher notes or dropping them to lower notes. They can choose to stay on one note and create a monotonous voice, or they can vary their pitch a lot and create a melodious voice.
