First, go back to chapter one and view how management was defined as the textbook put it. Then explain to me in your first paragraph, with the knowledge you have gained, the term “management” in your own words. How is it different to you from the textbook and your point of view if you were to take on a management role?
Second, give one example of what you have learned in this course and how it connects to your professional or personal goals. Is there a concept that resonated with you that made you think? What was the most interesting thing you learned? Discuss why it was interesting and how you think another person might be engaged with these topics.
Thirdly, imagine that you are talking to a future student who is just about to begin this course that is wanting to pursue a managerial role like you. You’ll want to keep in mind that this imaginary audience hasn’t learned all of the concepts you now know, so keep this reflection very simple. Now that you have gained perspective on what it takes to be a manager, what advice would you give the prospect student on becoming a manager?
