This assignment is intended to help you learn to develop an overall doctoral study plan and goals for the first meeting with your doctoral faculty advisor.

In this assignment, you will develop the talking points and overall plans for the first meeting with your doctoral faculty advisor. Most advisor meetings generally last for 20-30 minutes.

2. Compose a two-page paper that focuses on the following items for your initial meeting with your faculty advisor:
a. The specific goals and objectives you wish to achieve in your initial meeting and ongoing dialogues with your faculty advisor.
b. The areas where you see possible doctoral-related weaknesses the faculty advisor can mentor and coach you on from his/her experience.
c. The key doctoral journey questions and concerns that your faculty advisor can provide guidance on now and in future meetings.
d. Any other general or specific questions you believe are important to pose and discuss with this individual as a mentor and guide.
