The Final Research Proposal & Research Proposal Conclusion
Unit 8 AS1: Hypothesis Testing
Problem statements become research hypotheses when constructs are operationalized. A hypothesis is a theory or proposition set forth as an explanation for the occurrence of some observed phenomenon that can be used to guide investigation. A working hypothesis can be considered as being highly probable in lieu of the established facts. A scientific hypothesis can become a theory if it is proven by repeatable experiments. Hypothesis testing is common in statistics as a method of making decisions using data. Testing a hypothesis is trying to determine if your observation of some phenomenon is likely to have really occurred based on statistics.
The hypothesis is a clear statement of what was intended to be investigated. Students are to submit a two-paragraph paper that clearly states the hypothesis of the research proposal. The hypothesis should predict the anticipated outcome of the proposed study and must be testable. Identify whether it is a null hypothesis or alternative hypothesis and state the expected relationship between the variables or if they are consistent with the existing body of knowledge. The hypothesis should be expressed as simply and concisely as possible.

Unit 8 AS2: Research Proposal Conclusion
The conclusion is the final part of your research proposal. It contains summary of the whole work and predictions for the future. The aim of the conclusion is to summarize all prior parts of the research study proposal. The research proposal conclusion should contain all the appropriate points of the research study. The importance of the conclusion is it helps answer the research question. If the answer is clear, it means that you have done excellent work. A good conclusion helps you achieve the following goals:
• Demonstrate the significance of your research by pointing out the problems in the introduction and finally offering a solution for them in the conclusion.
• Express your research findings in your own way.
• Encourage readers to continue studying the topic in question.
• Highlight any gaps in the scientific representation of the topic and offer your solutions for filling in those gaps.
Students are to write a one-page paper that summarizes your research study proposal. Do not begin a new idea in this section. Utilize your prior assignments that included: statement of the problem, research question, theoretical framework, methodology, identified variables, and hypothesis to complete your conclusion. Restate main points and provide a basic synthesis for them. This means that you should find a logical connection between your study problem, hypothesis, and your conclusions. You should be able to draw logical connections to the previous sections in your research proposal. Be sure to include a paragraph on your recommendations. Recommendations are used to call for action or solutions to the problems you have investigated in your research proposal. Your recommendations should highlight specific solutions and measures to be implemented based on the findings of your research. Name the problems that can block your research and propose solutions.
