Reflective account structure
Use the reflective model below to structure the writing of your reflection.
As this is reflective writing, you may use the first person singular ‘I’ because you are writing about yourself. Choose a specific element to reflect on rather than the whole of the topic; reflecting on the whole topic is likely to be superficial and will not demonstrate any depth to your learning. The specific aspect you choose to reflect on is up to you.

Late submissions will NOT be accepted, and this will lead to a shortfall in hours and a delay in presenting your result to the module board in preparation for notifying the NMC of your readiness to register to practice

Is the issue / situation (positive / negative)?
Are the potential outcomes (for the patient /service users/carers/nursing/health and social care staff)?
Are my thoughts / feelings?
So What? (300 words MAXIMUM)
Does this tell me about myself (personally and professionally)?
Objective / evidence-based knowledge do I already possess?
Did I learn (about myself and the issue / situation)?
Now What? (200 words MAXIMUM)
Are the broader implications of my new learning and self-awareness on the issues / situation?
Action do I need to take to develop my knowledge base and how will I know I have achieved my aim?
Will I do to apply the learning to my practice?
