Develop a research problem of interest related to the chosen specialty track and include the following criteria.

AKI after surgery

Selecting a research problem is the initial step in the research process. Research problems may evolve from clinical experience, quality improvement efforts, nursing literature, social issues theories, or ideas from external sources. Chapter 4 in Polit and Beck will be a good guide for this discussion. Develop a research problem of interest related to the chosen specialty track and include the following criteria.

Describe the research problem in 3-4 sentences
Develop a problem statement
Develop one (1) research question related to the research problem
Propose whether a quantitative or a qualitative research design could be used for this research question

Identify 10 common terms contained in the discharge summary and correctly translate them into medical terms or abbreviations. Remember, you must spell the common and medical terms or abbreviations correctly.

Discharge Summary: The Cardiorespiratory System

Translate into medical terms or abbreviations common terms contained in a patient’s discharge summary. Identify 5 drugs appearing in the discharge summary and specify the usage reason for each drug on the provided template.
Instructions
Review the patient’s discharge summary below. Next, download the Discharge Summary Template and complete all of the following:

You are a project manager assigned to implementing a new computer system in an organization

Why is it important to understand usability, configurability, and interoperability? Should these concepts out way the underlining cost of the new system? Which system do you recommend and why?
During phase one, you are selecting a team. What characteristics are important to consider when selecting a team?
During phase two the following principle was discussed, “lead with culture, determining where the resistance is,” and then, engage all levels of employees . What does this principle mean to you and how can you implement this principle?
How will you handle physician and other key professional’s resistance to change and using the new system?
Discuss possible pitfalls during the implementation phase and how you can avoid them?
Describe your personal experience with automation and new information systems.

Discuss a patient safety issue that can be addressed for a patient with the condition presented in this case.

Create case study, Case Study Topic: headache discuss the pathophysiologic process involved.
Identify current evidence-based treatment modalities for the selected syndrome or disease and discuss how the treatment impacts the disease process.
Conduct an evidence-based literature search to identify the most recent standards of care/treatment modalities from peer-reviewed articles and professional association guidelines () . These articles and guidelines can be referenced, but not directly copied into the clinical case presentation. Cite a minimum of three resources.
Include the following in your clinical case presentation:
1. A discussion of the pathophysiology of the disease, including signs and symptoms.
2. An explanation of diagnostic testing and rationales for each.
3. A review of different evidence-based treatment modalities for the disorder obtained from or a professional organization.
Next, address the following questions:
1. How does the information in this case inform the practice of a master’s prepared nurse?
2. How should the master’s prepared nurse use this information to design a patient education session for someone with this condition?
3. What was the most important information presented in this case?
4. What was the most confusing or challenging information presented in this case?
5. Discuss a patient safety issue that can be addressed for a patient with the condition presented in this case.

Discuss the background and historical context that led to the creation of the section and consider the implementation of the section since it has gone into effect.

Affordable Care Act- Section 3509- Improving Women’s Health

For this assignment, you will choose one section of the Affordable Care Act and create a presentation, such as PowerPoint detailing your selected section. You may refer to the Compilation of the ACA to select a section.

Discuss the background and historical context that led to the creation of the section and consider the implementation of the section since it has gone into effect. Identify which research method you would need to use if you were to carry out your research proposal. Explain why this method is best suited to your study.

Now that you have a topic, the next step in the research process is to determine the study design. This assignment is designed to help you think about the types of research and how each can be applied effectively in nursing.

Write a 700- to 1,050-word paper in which you:

Explain the rationale you would use for choosing to use each of the following types of studies over the others:
Qualitative
Quantitative
Mixed methods
Why is the mixed methods design particularly well-suited for nursing?
Identify which research method you would need to use if you were to carry out your research proposal.
Explain why this method is best suited to your study.
Discuss which design within that method would be most appropriate for your research question.
What is the process to conduct research with this design?
Provide rationale that explains why that design would be the best way to answer the research question.

Develop a research problem statement to use as a foundation for your work going forward in the class. Determine why the topic is important and identify its main concepts and considerations.

This week you will begin working on your research proposal. You will not conduct research during this course. Instead, you will create a research proposal by identifying a research topic, question, and problem statement. Each week you will continue with your same topic to build your proposal.

Write a 500- to 750-word paper addressing the following:

Select a research topic.

Define your research topic. To ensure there is ample research available, search the University Library to locate at least 3 articles related to your topic. What do the articles say about your topic? Cite your articles according to APA guidelines.

Develop a problem statement.

Develop a research problem statement to use as a foundation for your work going forward in the class.

Determine why the topic is important and identify its main concepts and considerations.

A good problem statement contains an explicit statement of the problem, background information, complications related to the problem, what is unknown, and how your study could help resolve the problem.

For example, patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome receiving mechanical ventilation have a high mortality rate. Prone positions improve ventilation/perfusion matching. It is unknown if prone position improves outcomes in patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome.
