1. How can HR function as a strategic contributor in a healthcare organization?
2. What are the key parts of a policy & procedure and what should be avoided? Using the sample policy and procedure (attached by me) and the Guide to Writing Policy and Procedure document, critique the posted policy and procedure according to the standards outlined in your readings (textbook and Guide to Writing Policy & Procedure). Include recommendations and rewrite the P&P as you think necessary.

For the Midterm Essay you will read and complete a historical analysis of excerpts from three plague diaries of eyewitnesses to the Plague of Athens (Thucydides), Black Death in 17th century England (Samuel Pepys) and Covid-19 in 21st century Wuhan, China (Fang Fang). These diaries will be made available to you.
[Tip: In order to do well on this assignment, you do not need to read every single word, especially of the Pepys diary. Rather,would suggest skimming to get a sense of scope and then diving deeply into certain sections for a close reading.]
The paper must address the following questions:
Which elements – in terms of narrative story-telling devices and themes – do they have in common? What does each diary contribute to our historical understanding of their respective plague event?What do plague diaries allow us to see that other kinds of historical sources do not?
You should draw on your notes from lectures and readings to provide some context and background for each of these plague events. For citations, please simply list the author’s last name followed by the page number in parentheses (Slack, 102), or if you are quoting a lecture write (Doe, Lecture 9/24/21). No outside sources are required for this paper. If you do elect to use outside sources, please provide a bibliography at the end of your paper. This will not be counted towards your word limit.
Hint on structure: One option would be to divide the paper into three sections, with each section devoted to one diary. Consider ordering your paper chronologically. For each diary, be sure to address the three questions above. Be sure to include both an introductory paragraph as well as a concluding paragraph that sums up what we have learned.
The paper must be 3-4 double spaced pages, approximately 900-1200 words. It should be submitted to Turn It In on our Canvas course site.

Need a research paper writing on investigating variation in the trends for E.coli resistance (to three major antibiotic classes) in European countries.
Introduction:
What is antimicrobial resistance,why it is a problem for humans and animal health (one health). Why E.coli was chosen (as it a hugley common zoonotic pathogen), why resistance to all 3 antimicrobials is being looked at.
Method:
Gathered the data from https://www.ecdc.europa.eu/en/surveillance-atlas-infectious-diseases. The method should also specify where the ECDC was able to obtain this surveillance data.
Results:
Have written a script to be used in RStudios which have attached.
The script runs fins, gives P values, and Plots the Graphs, so the hard work for the results is done. It just needs writing up.
Discussion:
The main points to hit for the discussion is obviously to reiterate the main findings and objectives. What was found for each of the countries, not all the countries have significant P values so can be ignored.
Why this is important, potential limitations,maybe speculate why the results are as they are,and what more can be done preferably from a one health point of view.

M.J is a 65-year old female, who discovered a lump on her right breast during self-examination. She scheduled an appointment with her doctor. After diagnostic testing of a mammogram and a biopsy, she was diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma (IDC). Has a family history of breast cancer-one sister recently had lumpectomy and radiation therapy. Mother and aunt died from breast cancer when they were in their 60s.
Has had history of “lumpy” breasts but this lump feels “different”
Says she cannot quit smoking because of all of the stress in her life. Her husband recently left her and she has not seen her two daughters in more than six months.

Case Study Progress
R.M. goes to her follow-up visit and is told that the mammogram and ultrasound show a 4 cm mass. She undergoes a core needle biopsy. The results indicate that the mass is infiltrating lobular carcinoma. She undergoes a lumpectomy and axillary lymph node dissection. Six of 15 axillary lymph nodes are positive for cancer. Two weeks after surgery, she is being seen to discuss further treatment options.

Mrs. M is a 71-year-old female with advanced COPD admitted to the Critical Care Unit (CCU) for progressive respiratory distress. The patient’s respiratory status began deteriorating three months ago following an upper respiratory tract infection. Since then, she has required home oxygen, is producing a moderate amount of purulent, non-bloody sputum, and lost 13 pounds. Mrs. M works as the owner of a Pilates Studio and is involved in her church. She has a smoking history of 40 years and has been exposed to agricultural chemicals as a child growing up on a farm.
Past Medical History
Mrs. M has a history of asthma since she was a teenager. Twenty-one years ago, she underwent a left upper lobotomy requiring tracheotomy, secondary to lung abscess. For the past 20 years, she has had progressive emphysema. Eleven years ago, Mrs. M had an appendectomy and repair of perforated sigmoid colon. Twenty months ago, she was diagnosed with adenocarcinoma of the lung. Mrs. M reports an allergy to penicillin.
Nursing and dietitian provide small, frequent, high-calorie, and high-protein meals tailored to her current anorexia and dyspnea, improving Mrs. M’s nutritional status. The patient is transferred out of critical care on hospital day three and discharged on day five.
