Justify why this product should be used instead of a standard plastic film, regardless of the objections to its use of animal products.

Social responibility

Research is being undertaken into finding alternatives to non-biodegradable, oil-based single use plastic items. One alternative being developed is the use of fish waste and algae to make a biodegradable film which can be used in applications such as sandwich packaging ( Some groups of people might find this an unacceptable alternative since it uses animal waste as part of its manufacturing process (vegans, vegetarians, certain religions). Using the ethical theory of Utilitarianism (taught in the module) justify why this product should be used instead of a standard plastic film, regardless of the objections to its use of animal products.

Using one of the other ethical theories taught in the module (Kant, Human Rights Theory, Relativism) justify why non-biodegradable single use plastics should continue to be used instead of this fish-based alternative. No introduction and no conclusion ist straight to the point

In what ways might COVID have impacted international business?Identify and discuss 3 impacts.

BMBA 5031 – Fall 2021

Mid-term Exam Question

Want you to use your knowledge of what you’ve read, plus outside resources to answer the question that will present to you, below. Also, if you would like for me to do a quick review of your draft (has to be a couple of days prior to the due date),will be happy to do a quick review of your attempt. In other words, will be happy to be a coach for you! Review the instructions and the grading rubric carefully. If it were me,would think about the question being asked and come up with what believe to be the three major points that are germane to answering the question, then begin writing. Also, would encourage you to get through the chapter materials assigned before attempting to finalize your mid-term!

One other suggestion: many students have found it helpful to draft out the discussion of the three points before actually writing the introduction!

Here is the question:

As a result of many factors, technological advances being probably the most major one, international business commerce has exploded over the last 30 years. For many companies and countries, this has been a game changer. As with anything, numerous problems also have come to light, including international legal challenges, social justice issues, and a recognition that not all countries and companies are playing on a level playing field. Further, countries and companies have had to adapt and (hopefully) be mindful and respectful of the different country and regional cultures.

In what ways might COVID have impacted international business?Identify and discuss 3 impacts.

Is the individual impact a good or bad thing? Why?

One more thought: Want to know YOUR thoughts, not Mr. Google’s thoughts. While you can certainly get ideas from Google, remember that your answer needs to be tailored specifically to our class readings and videos!

Note: A good answer will thoroughly discuss three points (see instructions in MB2). Also, in your answer, Should see evidence that you have read the chapters and watched the videos that you were asked to do. Make sure you cite your sources!!!! Will be grading you on the strength of your arguments, not whether agree with your argument or not.

Does your organization focus more on recognizing the accomplishments of individual members or the accomplishments of teams?

Read the following chapter about diversity and culture and then follow the SLP instructions to complete the assignment:

performance. In Leadership lessons from west point. [Books24x7 version]. Available
in the Trident Online Library.

Drawing from the materials in this module, you will administer the Tribal Leadership survey to a member of an organization to which you have access.

After you have determined the organization’s present stage, you will interview the organizational member to glean more detail concerning the culture of his or her organization.

This can be any type of organization (some examples include a business, church, sports team, or volunteer organization). The person should be willing to participate in an interview about his or her organization’s culture. You may conduct the interview in person, via phone, or via email.

Prior to the interview, ask the interviewee to respond to the Tribal Leadership Survey questions (you will need to provide your name and email address to receive the survey results). Access the survey at http://www.culturesync.net/toolbox/culturemeter-survey/. (Note the results of the Tribal Leadership survey, specifically the tribal stage of the interviewee’s organization).

Interview your subject (interviewee) to discover information regarding his/her organization’s culture by asking the following questions:

Tell me about the relationship of your organization’s people to the mission, vision, and values of the organization.

Are the people in your organization used to taking risks (innovation) or is organizational stability more important (the

status quo)?

Are the people in your organization more focused on the details of their work (the means) or toward the outcomes (the end results)?

Would you say that your organization’s leadership is more process-oriented or people-oriented?

Does your organization focus more on recognizing the accomplishments of individual members or the accomplishments of teams?

Do people tend to be easygoing and cooperative, or are they aggressive and highly competitive?

Describe the general demeanor of the organization’s people. In other words, are people mostly disengaged and apathetic, or are they engaged and energetic?

Is your organization more formal or less formal in its day-to-day operations and approaches?

Are there any organizational standards or ideals that are particularly important to the people in the organization? If so, what are they?

What words best describe the overall “mood” of the organization?

What rituals are important in the organization?

What symbols are most important to the people in the organization?

Are there any stories that people tell newcomers that help to indoctrinate them into the organization? If so, what are they?

What artifacts are most important to the people in the organization (e.g., mottos, slogans, meetings, awards, new hire trainings, etc.?)

What are people most proud of?

What do people complain most about?

What shared assumptions come to mind (that are important to the people of the organization)?

ASSIGNMENT EXPECTATIONS:

Determine the organization’s tribal leadership stage (using the Tribal Leadership Survey).

Recognize the tangible and intangible cultural characteristics that define the tribe and tribal stage (using the interview questions).

Determine how well the identified stage of tribal leadership (based on the Tribal Leadership Survey results) aligns with the characteristics of the organization’s overall culture (based on the interview questions).

Write a 3- to 4-page paper (not counting the title page or reference section) applying tribal leadership to organizational culture by noting the impact the tribal stage you observed has on the organizational culture of the interviewee’s organization.

What are the benefits and challenges associated with teaming as a structure for conducting projects?

Virtual Teams W2DY3

Refer to the article “Teamwork on the Fly,” where the author discusses the concept of teaming as an alternative team structure as well as its associated challenges and benefits.

Imagine you were the project manager for the Water Cube project. The project is complete, and you have been invited to present at a major project management conference. The topic is fostering collaboration among geographically and culturally diverse teams. You decide to focus on how team structure promoted collaboration and facilitated the successful outcome of the project.

How is teaming different from traditional/stable project teams?

What are the benefits and challenges associated with teaming as a structure for conducting projects?

How does teaming facilitates collaboration?

In what ways might teaming may impact the outcome of a project?

Identify key issues and specific actions to mediate tensions. How will you recognize each team member’s knowledge and skills?

Building the Team

To best learn from each other in the class, please describe how your team will be accomplishing the following:

How do you plan on making your team the best it can be?

Consider interpersonal dynamics and your plan to identify key issues and specific actions to mediate tensions. How will you recognize each team member’s knowledge and skills?

Describe your plan to move everyone from a “group” towards a high-performance work “team.”

Write two Paragraph about 7 sentences each at least with APA REFERENCES:

RESPONSE TO THE FOLLWOWING POST: CHARLES WITH 6 TO 7 SENTENCES

Think to make a team successful they should encourage team members to share ideas, consider solutions and solve problems together. To make the team its best the team should benefit individual members by contributing supplementary support and chances for growth. Sometimes it is just too much for a one person to do it alone, so it is important that a team has a strong leader. A team leader with a strong sense of team values, goals, and code of ethics.

Each team is different and everyone in a team is different, so it is important to be able to develop strategies that will assist with managing conflicts. Opinions may vary, and miscommunications and misunderstandings occur. People have differing values and priorities, and most of us resist change. But with conflict comes solutions and these are usually the best solutions.

If were to be the leader of the team it would behoove me to recognize the unique strengths of individual team members and optimize all those strong points. One way may be naming each strength out loud and ask how those strengths might be applied to the project. Another way may be to have everyone take a test that will identify their strengths. One can try a single way or multiple ways the goal is to be able to identify those skills needed. A team is a group of people who work together to accomplish something outside their normal self-interest. A high-performance team is a group of goal-focused individuals with knowledge and corresponding skills who work together, originate, and produce superior outcomes. My plan to move everyone towards a high-performance team would be commitment, ambition, accountability, diversity, and trust. And a lot of practice.

Identify three revenue optimisation opportunities then present your suggested recommendations for implementation and conclusion.
