How might the border tax impact Mexican workers, and what responsibility does GM have to them? Should a Global company care more about its home-country workers than host-country workers?

In this great debate, you will take a position for or against the US implementing tariffs on Mexico goods being imported into the US. The focus is on what best serves the GM global workforce.
Start your subject line with one of the following positions as the title, depending on your stance:

or
NO! The tarrifs are not good for GM’s global workforce.

Include the following information in your argument:

CONSTITUTIONAL LAW PROBLEM SET – EQUAL PROTECTION CLAUSE

Howard County has a culturally diverse population whose racial composition is reflected proportionately in the makeup of its county council and the county executive is an African American person. Based upon a study showing that older homes with lead pipes are one of the primarily reasons for water pollution in the county, the county council unanimously passed a law that imposes an annual environmental impact fee for homes built prior to 1970 unless the homeowners provide proof of the pipes being replaced.

Although every council member went on record in support of the legislation on the grounds it would protect the environment, and no other reasons or statements were offered in support of the law’s enactment, it has become evident that the law disproportionately burdens historically disadvantaged racial minorities in communities with dense housing stock built before 1970. A coalition of these disproportionately impacted minorities have filed a lawsuit in Federal Court on grounds that the new law violates the Equal Protection Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment.

Discuss any constitutional grounds upon which the ordinance may be challenged. Provide appropriate references to the Constitution text, Supreme Court case law, and specify all elements of constitutional tests used.

What is your understanding of the concept of management by objectives?Discuss.

Conflict Resolution: When Priorities Collide

Management by objectives has been a management principle applied in the criminal justice profession for quite some time. MBO fits well in criminal justice because this profession lends itself to addressing emerging problems on a systemic level. For example, the current increase in heroin and pharmaceutical opioid overdoses is a newly identified problem that has objectives to address.
The criminal justice system will seek to increase efforts identifying, investigative, dismantling and destroying heroin and pharmaceutical distribution organizations while public health will work on treatment programs. Collaboration across fields will help increase the effectiveness of both plans.
Read and study the Fulk, Bell & Bodie article included in the learning resources for this week and answer the below questions.
1. What is your understanding of the concept of management by objectives?
2. Read the description of the group problem GROUP PROJECT – The Virtual Criminal Justice Alliance. Select three areas where you feel MBO would be a useful management tool to utilize. Explain why you believe using MBO could help overcome obstacles and lead to a more effective result.

You may also choose to write about which long term ideological cause  was the most powerful driving force behind the war.
The information you learned in class was there to create a base of understanding about the topic.

You will need to supplement what you have learned in class by investigating outside sources and forming an argument supported by evidence. This means that you will need to conduct your own research to defend your arguments. You must cite your research using both in-text citations and a references list.
