Healthcare services are often very complex, and to some extent, unknown prior to beginning treatment. As a healthcare administrator, how might you deal with price transparency in these contexts?
Are there such things as shoppable and non-shoppable health services? As a regulator, or a market participant, how would you try to provide transparency in these differing settings? Explain and provide examples.
Two physicians purchased a 12,000-square-foot industrial warehouse in Scottsdale, Arizona. The two physicians purchased the facility prior to consulting with design professionals. The industrial warehouse will be converted into a surgery center. After their purchase, the physicians brought in a design team to complete the renovation.
Using the scenario, Write a 700- to 1,050-word analysis to understand the due diligence involved in the situation. Your analysis should:
· Describe the stakeholders the physicians should have involved in the purchase.
· Explain when you would need to incorporate the expertise of stakeholders.
· Explain whether this was the most appropriate choice for building renovation.
· Describe the regulatory considerations that need to be made with respect to parking at the building.
· The industrial warehouse has 15 parking spaces and meets the parking requirements for industrial warehouses of 1 parking stall per 800 square feet.
· The surgery center is required to have 1 parking stall per 250 square feet.
· Calculation: known square footage of building divided by 250
· Using the City of Scottsdale Codes and Ordinances and FGI guidelines, describe the industry standards that need to be considered in this situation.
List and describe the federal laws and regulations governing patient privacy and security.
Identify ways to create reports using big data as well as the various indices that can be queried for the purpose of decision making.
Discuss meaningful use and HITEC and its impact on the development of the electronic health record.
Course Outcome
HA565-1: Apply data governance principles to ensure the quality of health data.
Instructions
Go to the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology) and the Health Level Seven® International websites and prepare a 2- to 3-page executive summary outlining the current activities of these organizations relating to the implementation of the EHR. Prepare the executive summary as if you were presenting it to the next monthly HIM department meeting at your hospital.
Be sure to include information about the role of privacy, protection of patient information, and regulations governing the collection and storage of data. Your written assignments must follow APA guidelines. Be sure to support your work with specific citations from the week’s Reading and Resources and additional scholarly sources as appropriate. Refer to the APA Style Central to ensure in-text citations and references are correct.
-Final Paper Prep: For the Final Paper, you are to choose an emerging managed care delivery model, Accountable Care Organizations, or Patient-Centered Medical Homes. For this assignment, you will complete section two of your Final Paper – Managed Health Care Quality – to address how the selected emerging managed healthcare delivery model has done to improve quality of care.
Provide an annotated bibliography of at least five of the required ten scholarly sources you will be using to write your Final Paper. An annotated bibliography starts with your source that is in APA format and followed by a brief descriptive and/or evaluative paragraph about your source. Follow the guide provided here in the Writing Center.

Performance Measures: Evaluating the Project’s Success
The project relates to a data integrity challenge and includes an investigation of the reasons and possible solutions for inadequate clinical documentation for signs and symptoms of a disease process. The informatics learner developed an EHR template to be used by providers that will improve clinical documentation and data integrity.
Include the following:
1. Develop the performance measures for the project. Describe what these are and what they are intended to measure. In addition to the project’s implementation, effectiveness, and functionality, consider measurements for how well the plan was executed, the cost/cost components , schedule variables, and scope.
2. Evaluate how the performance measures will also determine whether the proposed project is meeting the organizational objectives.
3. Compare and contrast two or three industry tools and methodologies that could be used to evaluate the success of the project’s implementation. Provide rationale for the tools and methodologies selected.
4. Develop the strategies for implementing performance measures to evaluate the project. Explain how and when the performance measures will be implemented throughout the project.
5. Assess the reasons why the proposed project may not meet the performance measures. In what circumstances would the proposed project not meet the organizational objectives?
6. Create a mitigation plan and discuss how it will be implemented if the project improvement outcomes do not meet performance measures or organizational objectives.
Refer to the attached reading and Compare and contrast each of the following four behavior change theories:
• Health Belief Model
• Social Cognitive Theory
• Transtheoretical Model of Change
• Theory of Planned Behavior
Read about the theory from the textbook, use the lecture recording as a reference, and do some additional research. How do the identified behavioral theories illustrate how health and well-being are factors of social conditions?
Summarize each behavioral theory in less than five sentences , to illustrate how health and wellness are factors of social conditions.
Note key similarities between the theories in general, and more importantly, the main constructs. FYI- they all focus on behavior change, so do not mention this as a similarity, the number of constructs in each model is also not worthy of mention.
