For this project each student must review a peer-reviewed academic article about a topic related to HIV or an STI that interest you. The article you choose must have been published in the last 10 years and one that you accessed through the MHCC library .

This paper must be single spaced, 12-point font, with1 inch margins. Please use proper grammar and spelling and use the spell and grammar check on whatever program you are using .

This paper must include the following:

Title and author(s) of article and the full citation of the article
An introduction, three key points from this article, and a conclusion. For each of the key points you should have 1-2 paragraphs for each.
The paper should be approximately 1 ½ -2 pages long
When selecting your resource consider:

The Accuracy of the article- how accurate do you think this article is?
The Authority-what is the expertise of the author on this topic? What are you basing this on?
The Bias/Objectivity- what bias or objectivity does the author(s) express?
Currency/Timeliness- how timely and/or current is your article? How does it align with current practices or history?

Population and the problem

As a health professional who is knowledgeable regarding population health, you are now working for an international health organization. Using technology to express your ideas and integrating technology to solve problems is important. You are given the task of improving the health of a given population. You get to pick the population and the health issue.

Research your chosen population and the problem. Articulate a specific goal that needs to be attained and decide how you will measure success. Integrate what you have learned up to this point in the course, including the topics of measuring improvement and accountability covered in this module.

Why should they care? How expensive will the project be in general terms . Make the case that you can influence change within your chosen population if you are put in charge of the project.

Complementary and alternative medicine is defined as a group of diverse medical and health care systems, practices, and products that are not generally considered part of conventional medicine. According to a survey by the National Institutes of Health, almost 40% of adults in the U.S. utilize some form of CAM. When prayer specifically for health is included as a CAM technique, the U.S. number rises to roughly 62%. Of note, the World Health Organization estimates 80% of the population in many developing countries rely on alternative medicine.
