Are you ready to lead this endeavor with your leadership skills?Where do we go from here?Discuss.

Many forces within this country are prompting a need for change.   Leiyu Shi and Douglas A. Singh, in their book titled Delivering Health Care in America.  A Systems Approach discusses six main external forces – or drivers – that impact our current health care system and will undoubtedly influence any system in the future.
Social and Demographic Forces:  demographic composition, languages, immigration, lifestyles, and cultures of the population that require health care services.
Economic Forces:  the economy, unemployment, globalization, supply and demand, spending by individuals and government, etc.
Ecological Forces:  new diseases, natural disasters, bioterrorism, etc., impacting the world’s health.
Where do we go from here?   As health care leaders, we need to be looking ahead, anticipating trends, innovations, and challenges that will be faced in the future with the ultimate goal of health care excellence by providing high quality, cost-effective, and accessible health care to all in this country.  That has been the basis of the case study discussions – get you to think, react, and anticipate like health care administrators.   Are you ready to lead this endeavor with your leadership skills?
