Based on the design of the zero-carbon house, identify a green building material

or product and analyse how sustainable the material is while considering the following

factors: first costs versus life cycle costs, natural resource consumption, recyclability,

and the embodied energy. In your report, discuss the positive and negative

sustainability factors and provide an answer to the question “how sustainable is this

material or product.”

Formulate possible technical solutions to address the student-prepared design specification.

Advanced Structural Design
