Describe what the company is doing and how it is using technology and content to position itself as a leader to better serve its audience and customers or community.

Everyone is familiar with companies such as Apple, Snapchat, Facebook, and Google and recognize the innovations these brands have made in shaping how consumers create, share, and consume content. However, in all parts of the world, other companies and innovators are also creating meaningful innovations in media, technology, and communication, but perhaps are lesser known.
We’d like to hear from you about a company, brand, or individual that you believe is making an impact by bringing together content and technology in ways that are important. Describe what the company is doing and how it is using technology and content to position itself as a leader to better serve its audience and customers or community. How is it innovating and making a difference? How is the company giving itself a competitive advantage within its market segment or, if you’ve chosen a non-profit, how are they creating impact within the community? Limited to 1,000 words.

What does the study of fans and fandom tell us about media and their audiences?

PARTICIPATORY CULTURES

What does the study of fans and fandom tell us about media and their audiences? Your answer should give reasons why fandom exists, give examples (examples from the class are welcome as well, but you should also provide original examples), and refer to at least one of the assigned readings.

Offer your argument and get to the point quickly – don’t waste time on lengthy introductions and/or summarizing conclusions. You may draw on material from the rest of the course, but these questions are primarily testing your understanding of the material from the final section.

You must refer to one of the readings in the essay.

Select a specific topic to research and present in the field of nonverbal communication.

Final Speech 2

Select a specific topic to research and present in the field of nonverbal communication. Sample topics include: using gestures effectively, moving around purposefully during presentations, or the importance of eye contact.

In the speech we’ll include examples of non verbal communications as in: engaging in eye contact, use hand gestures to reinforce message, movement when presenting, expression, appearance, space and voice. But we’ll choose whichever topic with the most and simple information, where can make a power point out of it.

Research this topic from at least 2 academic sources and how it can make your presentation more appealing and powerful.
