As the US workforce becomes older and more ethnically and racially diverse, healthcare providers that can reflect and respond to an increasingly diverse patient base are needed. What has your experience been,either as a patient or provider in regard to workforce diversity in healthcare? Have you had a positive or negative personal experience? Now, think about your current employer or a previous employer. What is your organization doing to promote a culture of inclusion? Is there a formal diversity program in your organization?
