Justification of the Study
Medical waste management allows the safe disposal of waste material, preventing environmental harm. The growing population and the spread of urbanization in the city of Al Madinah have led to increased production of waste. The study will contribute to the formulation of effective waste management strategies for the city. The research is also relevant since no study has ever been done on the issue in Al Madinah.

Quantify the amount of medical waste generated by 15 hospitals and Health care facilities in Al Madinah city during the three-year period between 2019 and 2021.

Identify the current medical waste handling practices in Saudi Gulf Company for Environmental Protection , including storage, collection, transportation, treatment and disposal.

Iimprove medical waste management in hospitals and health care facilities in Al Madinah city by distributing a questionnaire among health care workers to determine knowledge, opinions and practices.
