You are asked to undertake the financial analysis of one of the ‘big four’ supermarkets listed above. You are expected to use the Annual Report of your selected company and other financial information to prepare a report about the company. Your review and report should cover the TWO most recent financial years for which the annual reports are available.

Required:
Apply the appropriate financial ratios to the annual figures of the selected company.
Your financial analysis should:
Justify the selected financial ratios.
Assess the current financial situation of the company .
All calculations or source of calculated ratios should be included in the appendix
Conduct an industry analysis to gain further knowledge of the industry within which the selected company competes .
From your assumptions regarding WPMS’ as a potential investor , advise on how to proceed with the investment decision.
