Around 60 students are expected on the programme . Students arrive with a range of IELTS scores and already have the requirement to begin degree programmes in a number of different departments on completion of the pre-sessional.

Despite the range of scores, however, many students will have very similar IELTS profiles, making it difficult to divide them into four groups. The first morning of the course will be given over to testing- which means up to 3 hours may be available for various tests and assessments.
