Writing your paper

Draw the reader into your paper and communicate your paper’s purpose/direction.
Indicate which worship service you chose:
Name of the particular faith tradition
The name of the place and its location
Indicate the main element of focus and why it was chosen.
Part II – Description and Responses

Describe how your selected element is used in worship: what you saw and what you heard.
In doing so, respond to the questions under your chosen element to the extent possible by video .
Provide details based on your element .
Be as descriptive as possible in relating the use of your chosen element. If pertinent, discuss whether the element relates to a particular theme, a holy day or special observance.
Part III – Integration and Analysis

Select a secondary element to explore and discuss its interaction with your first element.
Discuss in at least one paragraph how the other elements play a part in the overall experience.
Use course resources to analyze what you have learned in relation to what you observed. From your limited knowledge and experience there, what would you say this congregation values? What would you say is the purpose and significance of the main and secondary elements you explored for this particular congregation?
