Think to make a team successful they should encourage team members to share ideas, consider solutions and solve problems together. To make the team its best the team should benefit individual members by contributing supplementary support and chances for growth. Sometimes it is just too much for a one person to do it alone, so it is important that a team has a strong leader. A team leader with a strong sense of team values, goals, and code of ethics.
Each team is different and everyone in a team is different, so it is important to be able to develop strategies that will assist with managing conflicts. Opinions may vary, and miscommunications and misunderstandings occur. People have differing values and priorities, and most of us resist change. But with conflict comes solutions and these are usually the best solutions.
If were to be the leader of the team it would behoove me to recognize the unique strengths of individual team members and optimize all those strong points. One way may be naming each strength out loud and ask how those strengths might be applied to the project. Another way may be to have everyone take a test that will identify their strengths. One can try a single way or multiple ways the goal is to be able to identify those skills needed. A team is a group of people who work together to accomplish something outside their normal self-interest. A high-performance team is a group of goal-focused individuals with knowledge and corresponding skills who work together, originate, and produce superior outcomes. My plan to move everyone towards a high-performance team would be commitment, ambition, accountability, diversity, and trust. And a lot of practice.
