Jane Doe is a second-year college student. She has been working as a bank teller part-time for two years. Over the course of those two years, she has systematically stolen from the cash drawer and used creative transactions that were with real and fake customer accounts to hide her crime.

When she is caught, she asks for leniency saying she “is just trying to make ends meet.” An examination of Jane’s life-style shows she spends money on high dollar clothes, shoes, and accessories well beyond her means. She has numerous credit cards charged to their maximum and has a history of non-payment. She is able to obtain these cards because credit card companies offer college students many start up cards, and she has taken advantage of this.
